<p>The IDF Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, arrived at the scene of the shooting attack in the Neve Tzuf area, under the Binyamin Regional Brigade. There, he conducted a situational assessment, toured the scene, and held an initial inquiry together with the Commander of the Central Command, MG Avi Bluth; the Commander of the Judea and Samaria Division, BG Kobi Heller; the Commander of the Israel Police’s Judea and Samaria District; representatives of the ISA; and additional commanders. During the situational assessment, the Chief of the General Staff instructed forces to initiate a closure, continue the pursuit of those who assisted the terrorist, and seal and dismantle his residence.</p><p>The Chief of the General Staff, LTG Eyal Zamir, said: “This was a severe terrorist attack, and I send our condolences to the family of the victim. We acted quickly-the despicable terrorist was apprehended by IDF troops. Our mission is not over. We will impose a closure on the village and conduct investigations, through which we will reach everyone who assisted the terrorist.”</p><p>”Ahead of Yom Kippur, we reinforced our soldiers on the frontlines and placed additional forces on standby for immediate deployment. On this holy day, as the people of Israel gather for Yom Kippur prayers, the IDF continues to stand guard. The IDF is on high alert, deployed and prepared with reinforced soldiers across all sectors, including throughout the fast.
