<p>A 7.1 magnitude earthquake shook the coastal region of Venezuela, according to the United States Geological Survey (USGS). Due to the powerful intensity of the quake, a tsunami warning was immediately issued for Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands in the Caribbean Sea.</p><p>Following the earthquake in Venezuela, a separate 6.9 magnitude earthquake was felt on the other side of the Pacific Ocean, off the eastern coast of Japan.
