<p>Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian met with Hossein Taeb, who was appointed commander of the Basij organization of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). During the meeting, Pezeshkian congratulated Taeb on his appointment.</p><p>Taeb, who previously served as head of the IRGC’s Intelligence Organization and as commander of the Basij during the suppression of the 2009 protests, was appointed to the position by order of Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, following the death of the previous commander, Gholam-Reza Soleimani.</p> | Read More in News from Israel
