<p>Defense Ministry Crossing Authority security inspectors foiled an attempt overnight to smuggle an M-16 assault rifle through the Trans-Samaria Crossing on Route 5.</p><p>A Palestinian Arab who arrived at the eastern side of the crossing raised the inspectors’ suspicions.
